The pumps of the external fire extinguishing systems combine high performance with light weight and compact dimensions. They are designed as single-stage horizontal volute centrifugal pumps with axial suction and top discharge. For high-capacity applications, split-case horizontal double suction centrifugal pump options are also available.
Characteristics:
Capacity range: Varies between 100 m³/h and 2800 m³/h.
Material: Standard nodular cast iron (GGG40) is used and the inner surface is epoxy coated, making it resistant to salt water and corrosion. Optionally, models are also available with bronze casing (CuSn10Ni).
Certifications: Marine Class Certifications and IACS approvals are provided upon customer request.
Drive options
- Diesel engine: It can be operated with a special diesel engine according to the technical specifications of the boat.
- Electric motor: Suitable for ships with high electrical generating capacity. Can be used with frequency converters or soft starters.
- Hydraulic motor: Small capacity pumps can be operated with hydraulic power units.
